We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, experienced and qualified Theatre and Endoscopy Manager to join our Theatre team based in Hemel Hempstead. You will join us on a full-time, permanent term basis, and in return, you will receive a salary in the range of £58,000.00 - £60,000.00 pa DOE plus benefits.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include:
* Provide leadership and strategic direction for the theatre and endoscopy services.
* Support the day-to-day management of the services and empower the leads to actively manage the services.
* Ensure quality, evidence-based and safe care is consistently delivered.
* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve/maintain an outstanding, patient-focused service.
* Have a comprehensive understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC), GRS, and JAG requirements and take accountability for acquiring and maintaining JAG accreditation and supporting the DCS in preparation and during CQC inspection.
* Maximise opportunities to develop the services, increasing operational efficiency to achieve optimum utilisation of assets in line with, and in support of, the Hospital Business Plan.
* As a member of the Head of Departments (HoDs) team, contribute to the strategic, operational, and business development of the Services.
About you
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
* Qualifications in a relevant discipline (Endoscopy or Theatres), Registered Nurse with NMC, related post-registration qualification, evidence of CPD. Professional post-registration qualification in a relevant subject and management qualification would be desirable.
* Current and consolidated clinical experience at a senior level in either Endoscopy or Theatres with experience in managing a team of clinical staff.
* Knowledge in discharge process, relevant NMC guidelines, Clinical Governance, JAG, GRS, and use of GIN standards. Private healthcare experience, financial and commercial experience and expert knowledge on JAG Accreditation would be beneficial.
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all professional disciplines.
* Excellent leadership and influencing skills and able to deal effectively with difficult, sensitive, or challenging issues in a supportive and professional manner to effect positive outcomes.
