Job role/responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Computing Teacher who possesses a passion for teaching, a drive to inspire, and the enthusiasm to support students in achieving their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to a wide range of learning styles and abilities. You will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure that every student is supported and encouraged to achieve their academic milestones.
1. Develop and deliver high-quality computing lessons that engage and inspire students.
2. Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all students can achieve their potential.
3. Incorporate the latest technologies and teaching methodologies to enhance student learning.
4. Monitor, assess, and provide feedback on student progress to help them achieve their academic milestones.
5. Work collaboratively with support teams, including teaching assistants and special educational needs coordinators, to ensure every student receives the necessary support.
6. Provide additional support and tutoring where needed to help students excel.
7. Contribute to the development and refinement of the computing curriculum to keep it current and relevant.
8. Participate in department meetings and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
9. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with trends in computing education and technology.
10. Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
11. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive and collaborative learning environment.
12. Provide clear and timely communication regarding student progress, classroom activities, and curriculum updates.
Knowledge/Experience required:
13. Proven experience in teaching computing.
14. Experience in delivering lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
15. Experience working with support teams to provide tailored support to students.
Qualifications:
16. BTEC Level 3 or above in Computing.
17. PGCE.
