We are currently seeking a part time and full time Residential Support Worker to join our Supported Accommodation team. Please can you specify in your application whether you are applying for 37 hours, 18 hours or both. Please note the above salary will be pro rata for the part time role. You'll be a role model, mentor and play a key part in the support system for young people in the service. You'll be working directly with young people helping to build healthy relationships, discover the benefits of training, education and employment, and support with preparation for independence as they enter adulthood. It's tough, it's challenging but it's incredibly rewarding. You'll attend meetings relevant to the young people, complete accurate documentation to a high standard and strive to make a difference daily. We'll look to you to: Have experience of partnership working. Experience of trauma informed practice Understand the needs of young people as they transition to adulthood. Have experience of working with young people in a similar setting. Support with independence plans for young people. Familiar with care/support plans and safety plans. You'll also need: Have a willingness to work towards or hold the recognised NVQ 4 or QCF diploma in working with children and young people in Residential care, or equivalent relevant Children’s Residential work. Desire to undertake further education / training. Training or qualifications that demonstrate a clear ability to communicate effectively and think critically. A valid and full UK driving licence.
