Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a local charity to support them in recruiting a Senior Administrator. We are proud to assist them in a range of positions. The charity is situated in 7 acres of grounds and is easily accessible via main transport and public transport links.
This is an opportunity to ensure the grounds look their best all year round and to maximize your ground keeping skills.
What the Groundskeeper will be doing
The ideal Groundskeeper will be responsible for:
1. Grass cutting and lawn care - mowing, edging, and ensuring a tidy appearance.
2. Care for flower beds and planting shrubs.
3. Adhere to all health and safety standards while working on the grounds.
4. Identify potential hazards on the grounds and escalate where necessary.
5. Ensure all gardening equipment is properly maintained.
What the successful Groundskeeper will bring to the team
This role is suitable for someone who has:
1. At least 1 year of experience working as a groundskeeper, gardener, or in a similar role.
2. Practical knowledge of horticulture, including plants, trees, shrubs, and flower care.
3. An ability to work as part of a team.
4. A driving licence.
5. Experience with grounds machinery (leaf blowers, hedge trimmers).
