We are looking for an enthusiasticHealthcare Assistant to join our friendly nursing team at Buckden and LittlePaxton Surgery.

The role is 23 hours per week,Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday morning.
Hours would be worked over threeor four days with clinics based both at Buckden Surgery and Little PaxtonSurgery.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate mustcover General Practice HCA duties and assistance within the DermatologyCommunity Clinic Services Team supporting Minor Surgery and Vasectomy,delivering the highest level of care and assistance.
Duties will include, but are notlimited to;
Assisting with longterm conditions clinics such as diabetes, asthma, COPD
NHS Health Checks
Flu and Pneumoniavaccinations
ECGs
Suture and clipremoval
Ordering nursingstock and equipment
Precise and accuraterecording on patient records
You will work alongside the existingnursing team to ensure:
Stock levels are maintained by ordering,rotation and sorting deliveries. Identifying the best places to purchasestocks and dealing with suppliers.
Completion of cleanliness, infectionprevention control measures and health and safety requirement of the role.
Doctors are supported in their clinics.
Commitment to safeguarding and promotingthe welfare of all patients.

The team consists of 5 GP Partners, 3 salaried GPs, 1 ANP, 2 PracticeNurses, 1 Practice Nurse Associate, 1 Lead HCA and a wider administrative team withdispensary. Supported by PCN ARRS staff including Clinical Pharmacists,Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers and Health Coaches.
