Role Purpose As the Data Protection Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that LPCH complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You will also identify, assess, and manage risks to protect our assets, reputation, and the well-being of our patients. Key Responsibilities Data Protection Framework: Develop and implement a data protection framework that ensures compliance with GDPR and other relevant laws. Information Governance: Create policies and procedures for the secure handling, use, and protection of patient information across all LPCH sites. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks related to data protection and information governance, ensuring that potential issues are mitigated. Training & Education: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities under data protection laws.
