Project Manager Exciting Opportunity: Project Manager. Hourly rate: Competitive salary depending on experience. Location: Inverness. Role Highlights: Gael Force Group specialise in the building of marina pontoons, breakwaters, designing and building of feed barge operations and other aquaculture related engineering activities. What we’re looking for: We are seeking a Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role will involve managing engineering and technical projects, particularly in marina works, general engineering, and aquaculture projects. The Project Manager will drive cost reduction and quality enhancement, liaising with clients, managing contracts, and ensuring effective communication from project inception to handover. Key Responsibilities: Deliver all projects on time, on budget and to the required quality standard. Proactively identifying opportunities to reduce cost of project delivery and drive them to realisation. Update project production requirements to the applicable Production Manager/Commercial Director weekly. Ensure quality of product and project delivery is continuously improved. Participate in pre-tender contract evaluation procedure for jobs which you will manage. Conduct Site surveys as required. Prepare contract & tender pricing for approval where necessary. Produce and Issue contract programs in conjunction with the overall production programming process. Update and maintain contract programs and liaise with the client/employer as necessary. Conduct pre-contract job start meetings with the Operations Director, Workshop Foreman, and Commercial Director where appropriate. Ensure Design Calculations are carried out as required. Produce Bolt and Material lists and other material take-offs and required dates to assist with purchasing as necessary. Define scope works and contractual terms to appoint and manage Sub Contractors as required. Liaise with client on all aspects of contract including attending site and contract meetings as required. Maintain contract documentation as required (Early Warning Notices, Compensation Events etc). Carry out weekly Job Costing reviews of on-going and completed works and contracts. Ensure all relevant QA documentation is completed prior to installation or handover as appropriate. Conduct pre-installation meetings with Installation Supervisor as appropriate. Conduct and manage snagging inspection and client handover procedure. Ensure the client/ employer is provided with a full handover pack including the production of as built drawings and assist as necessary in producing the health and safety file. Ensure any Risks Assessments and Method Statements are produced where applicable. Essential: An engineering background is essential. Experience of co-ordinating contract works is required. Project Management experience. Contract Evaluation, knowledge & understanding and tender preparation is required. People management skills. Time Management skills. Ability to perform under pressure. Desirable: Basic draughting experience is desirable. An understanding of the marine environment. Professional engineering qualification or equivalent experience. PRINCE 2. NEC3 Contract Training. CDM Training.
