Job Description 37.5 Hours per week. Monday - Friday. 22:00 - 06:00. Purpose of the Post: To assist in the day-to-day registration of samples ready for preparation and analysis of Water Samples within the Laboratory in accordance with documented procedures. Ensure samples received are handled in accordance with documented procedures, including attention to temperature control, storage and maintenance of sample integrity. Ensure registration occurs with high level of accuracy – including registration details and testing Ensure all duties are performed in accordance with ISO17025 and the Quality Management System where relevant. Maintain Sample Registration Guide and customer contact details with up to date information. Communication with customer on missing samples/ paperwork, unclear testing instructions, and samples testing outside stability. Undertake all tasks within the laboratory appropriate to your level of training. Knowledge of Laboratory Quality System in order to comply with the policies, procedures and associated documents. Maintenance of accurate and systematic records as detailed in the quality procedures. Work with Team Leader, Laboratory Manager to achieve daily targets, ensuring client turnaround time is met. Work with the team on continuous improvement initiatives. Report any anomalies or concerns direct to your line leader. Ensure client contact is conducted in a professional manner and any client queries are dealt with or notified to your line leader. Uphold and maintain client and company confidentiality Receive customer communications, performing actions, delegating or escalating to Seniors as appropriated. Comply with Health and Safety procedures keeping the working environment clean and tidy Maintenance of laboratory fittings and equipment as directed. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as required
