About the role
We have an exciting 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity for a Practice Manager to join our Data Engineering team within the Chief Data Office.
The Practice Manager will be instrumental in leading the People agenda and will be responsible for maintaining a highly skilled and motivated workforce, with an emphasis on Talent Management, Development, and Coaching to ensure people are engaged and performing at their optimal level.
The person in this role will define goals and objectives for a large team and will work closely with the Chief Data Office Leadership to deliver a reimagined future state enabled by innovative use of technology and agile ways of working.

* Have experience of leading, developing, and inspiring teams
* Can quantify resource requirements, measure and communicate proposed outcomes, value, benefits, and risks
* Are experienced in managing performance and recognizing and rewarding performance for a technical team
* Are an advocate for career paths, identifying development opportunities, and incubating and growing the talent pool
* Are resilient and can maintain energy and enthusiasm to embrace situations positively, motivating and inspiring others
Desirable experience will include:
* Previous experience of carrying out a similar role within the financial services sector
* Experience managing a technical team within a Data or IT function
