The successful candidate will be part of the implementation team responsible for manufacturing and installing mushroom harvesting equipment worldwide, as well as handling on-site troubleshooting and maintenance. Your newpany is a family-run business focused on R&D, and due to increasing orders, we are creating this new role. The candidate will manage on-site (or remote) troubleshooting and maintenance, assist in manufacturing and installing systems at our County Armagh office and customer sites, and collaborate with the design team on R&D projects to enhance existing products and develop new ones.
This role involves international travel depending on project requirements.
Your new role
1. On-site mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting and problem-solving.
2. Assisting during system commissioning at customer sites.
3. Providing post-implementation customer support and troubleshooting.
4. Assisting with manufacturing of harvesting systems at our premises.
5. Building control panels and wiring machines as needed.
6. Utilising Schneider control systems and PLCs.
7. Maintaining effective communication with clients, suppliers, and team members.
8. Reading detailed electrical and engineering drawings.
9. Applying engineering expertise to improve products or services.
10. Participating in R&D projects, both in-office and hands-on.
11. Liaising with the R&D design team to refine and improve our products.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Ability to read detailed electrical and engineering drawings.
2. Proficiency in mechanical, electronic, and electrical troubleshooting.
3. Experience in building, commissioning, and advancing development of products.
4. Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and adaptability.
5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
6. Ability to maintain technical specifications.
7. Demonstrated engineering expertise and product improvement skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Experience in precision engineering.
10. Willingness to travel.
11. Availability for overtime to meet project deadlines.
12. Awareness of health and safety regulations.
Desirable skills and requirements
1. Experience programming Schneider PLCs.
2. Proven electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
3. Welding and fabrication experience (stainless steel, TIG, MIG, manual arc).
4. Proficiency with 3D and 2D software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
