Job Overview
As part of our catering team, you will be performing a variety of tasks to help prepare and cook tasty, nutritious meals from locally sourced fresh produce.
We are currently recruiting an Assistant Cook to support the cook in charge and our team at Broadacre kitchens. Your role will include:
1. Preparing and cooking home-cooked nutritious food within a budget.
2. Following all food legislation and maintaining high standards of food safety.
3. Carrying out food preparation and cooking.
4. Serving meals to students and staff.
5. Managing and monitoring your team.
6. Food ordering and managing stock.
7. Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment.
8. Recording and documentation of all relevant information following our food safety management system.
You will be a valued member of our friendly team who is reliable, dependable, and committed to working our operational hours of 8.45am to 1.30pm, totalling 23.75 hours per week over 5 days. No weekend work!
You will work term time weeks only but will receive equal monthly payments throughout the year.
You will be paid £12.45- £13.05 per hour in addition to annual holiday and Bank Holiday entitlement.

This post requires an Enhanced DBS, the cost of which will be met by the Employer.
