SEN Teaching Assistant - Resource Base Support | Ladywood, Birmingham (B16) | Full-Time | May 2025 Start Location: Ladywood, Birmingham (B16) Pay: £400-£440 take-home per week (after deductions) Contract: Full-time, long-term Start Date: May 2025 Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only) Are you a patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a meaningful role? A welcoming mainstream primary school in Ladywood (B16) is seeking a full-time SEN TA to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2 within their on-site resource base, starting May 2025. You'll be working with a small group of pupils who have a range of additional needs, including physical disabilities, communication difficulties, and social/emotional needs. The role includes 1:1 and small group mentoring, support in class, and tailored interventions within the resource base. Your responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring within the resource base Support pupils with physical and communication needs Encourage engagement, independence and emotional regulation Assist with personal care or mobility where required Work alongside teachers and the SENCO to track progress What you'll need: Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, physical disabilities, SLCN) Confidence supporting pupils in both classroom and resource base settings A caring, calm and flexible approach Full-time availability from May 2025 Why join?
