Senior Sales Proposals Engineer
As a part of Marine, you will belong to PFS (Parts & Field Service), Sales Proposals. You will be part of a team that develops business strategies which drive growth and profitability, support sales performance through providing a steady flow of new leads and opportunities and leverage high-level customer experience.
In this position, you report to the UK Manager Sales Proposals (CENO Region). The location of this position is in Fareham, United Kingdom.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of sales proposals and supporting presentation material & documents for Spare Parts, Field Service and support B & C class projects where applicable.
2. Determination, review and approval of the calculated margin and proposal risk.
3. Support in presenting and explaining proposals to customers.
4. Building of sales funnel e.g. through maintenance planning and dry-docking dates.
5. Assist to coordinate internal and external promoting of solutions and success stories.
6. Ensure CRM data quality.
7. Approval of offers within approval guidelines.
8. Use of data and analytics to identify new opportunities and team performance.
Main requirements in this role are (You will shine in this role when):
1. Have relevant technical education, preferably Associate, BSc. or equivalent, marine-related work experience and have an entrepreneurial mindset and Sales affinity. Fluent speaking and writing in English.
2. Knowledge of regional market and awareness of cultural diversity.
3. Customer focus (internal/external) and capability of building business relationships.
4. Good technical knowledge of Wärtsilä products and solutions.
5. Strong business and results orientation.
6. High level of detail and comprehension, while ensuring a high level of proactivity and flexibility.
7. Experience with negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
8. Drive for performance with a positive attitude.
9. Being part of the team and driving enthusiastically our cultural and DNA change.

13. Advanced knowledge of MS Office and CRM (Salesforce) applications.
