Job Description Manual Machinist Our client, based in Biggleswade, are looking for a manual machinist to join their workshop team. This is an ideal opportunity to join a successful, leading engineering company. Responsibilities Experience in the machining of parts/components using conventional manual machinery, band & chop saws, pillar drills and metal finishing equipment. Understand and work to detailed metric drawings. Grinding and fitting familiarity desirable Machined parts must be produced to a high standard of tolerance & finish Able to work unsupervised in a reactive engineering environment. Personal Specification Manual lathe ability essential Willing to work on own initiative and within a team Ability to adhere to strict schedules Maintain a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety policy together with current regulations. Working knowledge of machining methods and mechanical principles. Hours of work and pay Up to £15.50/hour DOE 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Mon to Thurs. 7:00 am – 1:00 pm Friday. 40 hours per week.
