Main duties of the job
The post holder will work on a combination of NIHR portfolio adopted studies and commercial trials ensuring they run smoothly, efficiently and to target. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. Previous research experience is essential, and applications are particularly welcomed from registered adult nurses. Training and career development opportunities are available for the suitable candidate in this friendly and dynamic organisation which strives for excellence in delivering first class patient care. There will be a requirement to work out of hours and at weekends on occasions. There may be a requirement to provide cross cover in other specialities and work across other sites within the Trust. Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
Experience
* Significant post registration experience in Private/NHS nursing in a relevant clinical specialty
* Experience of phlebotomy and cannulation
* Clinical research experience
* Knowledge of ICH GCP guidelines
* Experience of Study Set-up and Finance management
* Experience in one or more of these therapeutic areas: Muscular Skeletal, Immunology, Dermatology, Haematology, Primary care, Age and ageing, Dentistry, Public health, Health Services research, Genetics
* Experience of formal/informal teaching of patients and staff
* Proven effectiveness in working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Demonstrates evidence of professional development
* Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing
* Competent to administer oral and IV medication
* Demonstrates ability to take charge and delegate duties
