About the role:
They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. In this role, you will:
Cost Control & Financial Management
* Develop and implement strategies to optimize project profitability. Oversee business planning and ensure financial outcomes are maximized. Integrate new accounting systems (Xero & Eque2) and prepare financial reports and forecasts.
Procurement Management
* Collaborate with accounts and buying departments to align with procurement strategies. Maintain a subcontractor database and enhance procurement processes. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
Contract Administration
* Maintain a register of contracts and warranty obligations. Review contract terms and ensure compliance with JCT protocols and PO/sub-contract terms. Ensure proper documentation before project commencement.
Design & Project Coordination
* Manage design services, including Revit and BIM, ensuring efficient project delivery. Coordinate project stages and collaborate with architects and engineers.
Compliance & Risk Management
* Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulations. Identify and manage commercial risks and advise on dispute resolution.

Client & Stakeholder Communication
* Serve as the primary contact for clients, fostering strong relationships. Communicate with the Operations team to ensure alignment on project performance.
About the benefits and rewards:
The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of £70,000-£85,000 per year, dependent on experience.

About the requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* 5-10 years of proven experience in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial role
* within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and risk management skills.
* Familiarity with legal frameworks, JCT contracts, and tendering processes.
* Proficiency in design tools such as Revit and BIM.
* Experience with financial systems such as Xero and Eque2 is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Willingness to travel to project sites
