The Role
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician responsible for ensuring that all customer and legal requirements are met, and products conform to specifications. Key duties include checking incoming raw materials and ingredients, ensuring they meet internal standards, conducting packaging checks, and reporting non-conformance issues to Technical Management. The role involves collecting and logging intake samples for laboratory testing, supporting the production team in adhering to company food safety procedures, and driving a "Right First Time" attitude. Additionally, the technician will carry out process control checks at set intervals to ensure adherence to specifications.
Rate of pay £12.30 per hour
Duties Include:
* Ensuring all customer and legal requirements are met and product conforms to specification.
* Checking incoming raw materials and ingredients ensuring they meet our internal specification (appearance, organoleptic, analytic...). Online recording of intake checks.
* Checking packaging conform to requirements.
* Reporting any non-conformance issues to Technical management.
* Collecting & Logging intake samples for laboratory testing.
* Supporting the production team to get things done and recorded correctly, and making sure that everyone complies with company food safety procedures.
* Drive "Right First Time" attitude amongst fellow work colleagues, including production.
* Carry out process control checks at set intervals ensuring adherence to specification.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Quality Auditing experience.
* Experience of working in Chilled food manufacturing environments.
* Knowledge of fish products, Production & Packing products.
* Ability to take part in and carry out audits.
* A personal commitment to role model behaviors and to setting the standard.
* A working understanding of Microsoft Office
* Numeracy and literacy skills
