This role requires a deep understanding of payroll regulations, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead a small team or coordinate with external payroll providers as needed.
Job Description
As a Payroll manager you will be responsible for:
* Oversee all aspects of the payroll function for the organisation.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
* Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
* Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll queries.
* Coordinate with HR department to ensure correct employee data.
* Manage and prepare reports for upper management, finance department and auditors.
* Lead, guide and manage the payroll team to provide accurate, timely and professional service.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Group Payroll Manager should have:
* A degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
* Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
