Role Summary
Becoming a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer at Mitsubishi Chemical is an exciting opportunity to work on major projects globally. You will be the “go-to” individual on all capital projects, providing corporate input on Civil/structural matters. The successful candidate can expect to ensure project design, procurement, fabrication, and construction are aligned with legalisation, engineering and company standards meeting the overall objectives. Becoming a part of a team that all strive for the same goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as subject matter expert taking the lead in the company for all civil & structural issues.
2. Be there to offer professional support to make sure structural designs are technically robust and cost-effective. Thus, within the early project stages offer advice and guidance on effective and suitable design to enable the best construction.
3. Provide technical input and guidance into the corporate Asset Integrity Procedure (AIP) in developing and refining company standards.
4. Use technical Knowledge and understanding of engineering requirements to assist in the selection of subcontractors in addition to relevant technical build evaluations.
5. Review and comment upon the civil & structural design deliverables provided by the engineering contractors (EPC, Fabrication and constructions).
6. Attend project and design review meetings to ensure the design meets project requirements.

Qualifications/Experience
12. Significant experience working in the chemical, petrochemical, or oil and gas sectors.
13. Previous experience in major projects including front end, detailed design, and construction phases.
14. Chartered Engineer or registered Professional Engineer.
15. A strong, technical engineering knowledge with experience in Process Unit Modularisation & Prefabricated Buildings.
