Job Description IT Systems Architect Full Time Derby/Bristol – Hybrid What you will be doing Rolls-Royce Measurement & Test Engineering organisation have an exciting opportunity to join the team as an IT Systems Architect to support them in expanding, improving, and maintaining their global portfolio of Aerospace Engine Test Facilities The Rolls-Royce Measurement & Test Engineering organisation are responsible for designing and delivering the infrastructure required to test the next generation of gas turbine engines for both Civil and Defence applications. Responsibilities: You will be working for the Rolls-Royce Technical Authority for Aerospace Engine Test Facilities. In this role you will be working with colleagues locally (either in Derby or Bristol), and opportunities also exist to work more widely within the UK as well as Internationally. In this role you will be responsible for helping to define and deliver the IT and OT systems architecture for the Rolls-Royce test facilities that will be required to deliver the next generation of both Civil and Defence gas turbine engines. You will work closely with the Measurement & Test Organisation to deliver the current and future business needs. You will also work closely with Rolls-Royce Group IT to ensure that the test infrastructure complies with group policies Your role will include: Be responsible for designing and implementing both the short and long term strategic solutions for managing and maintaining the systems and software used in Rolls-Royce test facilities. Work closely with our key suppliers to ensure that the IT & OT systems installed and used on our test facilities are fit for purpose and align with RR Group IT policies. Ensuring Rolls-Royce test networks are resilient to cyber security risks and adhere to the latest national and international standards. Interfacing with Rolls-Royce group IT to ensure alignment on policies and toolsets where possible. Why Rolls-Royce? Qualified to degree level in Computer Science, Engineering or HND with appropriate industrial experience. Experience of working within a project environment. Experience in preparing and delivering technical reports and documents. Experience in generating test requirements and undertaking acceptance testing. Experience of cost-benefit analysis and business case development. Self-motivated, with good interpersonal, planning and execution skills and a team player. Experience/understanding of any of the following would be advantageous, but not essential: Understanding of cyber security and the latest toolsets and standards. Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as JAVA, C++, Python or SQL. Awareness of the latest capabilities and driving the use of standard tools and processes in the systems arena.
