Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) - Pumps/Generators Basic Salary up to £39,500 (Fully Employed) Benefits Overtime and Call out Location - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire We currently have a superb opportunity for an experienced Operations and Maintenance Engineer to join one of our clients who are a leading provider of services to the CHP (Combined Heat and Power), Power Generation and District Energy sector. The position is full time, fully employed Monday to Friday (40 hour week) call out rota/overtime (worth roughly £4k-£5k additional income per annum). Job Summary: Site based in Milton Keynes, your main responsibility will be to operate and maintain mechanical plant and equipment within CHP energy centres and network customers' premises. Service, diagnose faults and repair a wide range of mechanical plant with particular emphasis on internal combustion engines, generators, and CHP units. Mechanical and plumbing repairs, and maintenance of domestic and commercial HIU's Monitoring of performance and status, early diagnosis of faults and working to PPM lists to maximise operating efficiency, availability, and asset life, with utilisation of CMMS and reporting systems.Key Skills Required: Qualified and experienced mechanical maintenance engineer, holding relevant mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ standard, relevant apprenticeship / qualification in mechanical engineering. CHP (combined heat & power) or generator experience desired. Experience in maintenance & repair for commercial pumps, pipework, motors & valves. Experience of working with PLC/SCADA systems desired. Royal Navy / Marine Engineering background considered.
