Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative/Relief Driver to join our team at our Oxford branch. The Role The Role will involve an element of manual handling, as well as using equipment to load and unload deliveries, interacting with customers to make sure they are satisfied, ensuring the yard/warehouse is kept presented to a high standard, as well as relief driving when required. There is always plenty to do and a variety of jobs so it is important the candidate can use initiative and is able to manage their time sufficiently. Responsibilities and Duties · Maintain the warehouse · Taking deliveries from suppliers · Preparing customer orders · Stocking the shop · Deliver goods when needed (driver preferred) · Working as part of a team · Forklift truck driving (training will be given). Daily upkeep of warehouse The Requirements No formal qualifications required Have good verbal communication skills Ability to take instructions and work under minimal supervision Flexible Be organised in prioritising workload effectively Be physically fit Ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a team Have a forklift truck qualification - this is an advantage but not essential Maintain good knowledge of health and safety policy and procedures at all times The Hours Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:15 Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:15 & Saturday 08:00 to 12:00 The Rewards Joining us means joining the leading and largest Independent Builders’ Merchant in the South of England.
