Job Description Our London South East Cost Management plans to continue to grow our existing 120 strong team, as we successfully secure projects with many high-profile clients and as a direct result, we are currently seeking a Senior Director in our London Cost Management team, with a strong and proven track record in the Commercial Office market. The role is market facing, including leading client engagement, business development, marketing and PR, to continue to raise the profile of AECOM and specifically the London Cost Management team. It will include taking responsibility for the care and growth of both new and existing clients and development of revenue on behalf of the business. As a Senior Director, the ability to successfully manage and deliver complex, high profile projects and the Client Relationships those entail, will be absolutely key. The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from identifying opportunity, initial inception and through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery, final accounts and post completion aftercare. You will be ultimately be responsible for the technical delivery of the schemes that you are leading for your Clients. You will possess the skills and experience to actively support the internal team and manage both senior and more junior staff (including Project Directors and Associates) on technically complex projects, typically ranging between £50m to £200m. You will help develop collaborative relationships with our clients and other professional colleagues within the industry. You will have day to day client point of contact responsibility for projects and indeed escalation where appropriate. The successful candidate will be connected in the London market, organised and self-motivated, being able to successfully work with fellow Senior Leaders in a collaborative manner. Main aspects of the role are: Assist in the leadership & growth and Profile of the London Cost Management team and the wider Commercial Sector, working collaboratively with colleagues and driving key industry thought leadership on topics such as the ESG Agenda Engage in and contribute to thought Leadership to grow your own and AECOM’s profile Identify new work opportunities in the commercial sector and lead / contribute to bids and generate Revenue to set and agreed targets Play a key instrumental role in advising, mentoring and developing capabilities within the team Lead from the front driving technical excellence, client satisfaction & a people-focussed culture Contribute to leadership of cost management discipline within the sector (e.g. knowledge leadership, data capture, benchmarking, best practice etc) Key sector client account management Lead significant Cost Management Commissions, taking overall responsibility for their successful delivery Responsible for delegated business development / marketing tasks Manage and be responsible and accountable for your key financial metrics of the CM team – workload, utilisation, billings Assist in the implementation of a people-focused growth strategy to enable and support recruitment, career progression and staff engagement Minimum Requirements : Extensive sector experience across Commercial Offices and Commercial Real Estate Extensive Cost Management experience of construction projects. Experience at a leadership level in a comparative cost management business. Experience of managing, leading & growing teams. Demonstrable track record of winning new work from new clients & repeat work from existing clients. Extensive experience of successfully delivering complex projects. Extensive experience in all aspects of pre and post contract services including: feasibility studies, cost planning, tender document preparation Demonstrable strong client relationships & network of contacts Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Excellent industry network and reputation, including development of Thought Leadership and personal profile A passion for first class service delivery, implementing best practice and continuous improvement.
