This role would suit those with their own writing experience looking for an opportunity to have a significant impact on developing consistency and effectiveness of bid submissions Preferred Skills & Experience: Attitude and energy are key We are fast paced and want someone who strives to add value. • Extensive bid and procurement experience in bid writing, bid evaluation, business writing, or procurement evaluation and quality assurance roles • Proven knowledge of procurement processes in public and private sectors, including familiarity with PCR / Procurement Act • Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate effectively on reviewing detailed documentation • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide constructive feedback clearly and effectively • Ideally educated to degree level or holding a relevant business or management qualification • Demonstrable experience in managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines Key Responsibilities: We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our 'bid quality processes' to further develop the consistency and effectiveness of our bid submissions. Quality assurance is delivered across the team and for every project. This role will provide additional and dedicated QA capacity and focus. Providing feedback to the lead writer via comments, notes (tracked changes) and discussions. • Support the review and quality assurance process for all bid content, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality content. The role will add value to the team and improve of overall approach • Support the scheduling of quality reviews, working closely with the Head of Bids and Bid Team Leaders • Provide mentorship and coaching to the bid writing team, alongside the wider team, developing structured answer plans, clear storyboards, and compelling win themes • Identify team skill gaps as a result of the reviews and feeding back into line management and senior management • Analyse bid evaluation feedback - ensuring our approach to QA is continually improving to maximise our clients success • Ensure accurate recording of review feedback/ trends and regularly produce quality assurance reports and KPI statistics, along with recommendations If you're passionate about writing and supporting in continual improvements to operations and want to be part of a company that values your contributions, this is the perfect role for you About Thornton & Lowe Established in 2009, Thornton & Lowe delivers expert bid management, procurement support, bid writing, and tender support services - as an outsourced service.
