Role Overview As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and commissioning control systems, with a primary focus on Siemens S7 PLC platforms. This is a hands-on, mid-level position suitable for engineers with a few years of industry experience, looking to take the next step in their career with a supportive and innovative team. Key Responsibilities Design and develop PLC control systems using Siemens S7 (TIA Portal and/or Step 7) Develop HMI and SCADA systems where required Conduct system testing, fault finding, and debugging Participate in site commissioning and customer handover (mainly UK-based) Collaborate with electrical design, mechanical, and project engineering teams Maintain project documentation and support post-installation Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and industry regulations Required Skills and Experience Proven experience with Siemens S7 PLCs (essential) Experience with TIA Portal and/or Step 7 Strong understanding of industrial control systems and automation principles Hands-on experience in programming, commissioning, and system integration Good understanding of electrical schematics and control panel layouts Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and commissioning Desirable (but not essential) Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g. WinCC, Ignition, etc.) Exposure to other PLC systems (e.g. Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) Background in industrial sectors such as food & beverage, FMCG, process, or manufacturing What We Offer Competitive salary: £40,000 – £50,000 DOE 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Company pension scheme Ongoing training and development opportunities Friendly and collaborative team environment Real career progression within a growing business ADZN1_UKTJ
