Work with Vista has a superb opportunity for Residential Support Workers to work within a 3 bed home based in the Heanor area of Derbyshire, providing care and support to children, ensuring their wellbeing and helping them achieve their personal goals. You will work closely with our children to implement care plans and promote independence while fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks.
2. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
3. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support.
4. Provide childcare support, engaging children in educational and recreational activities.
5. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or needs.
6. Drive clients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
7. Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
Requirements:
1. NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People.
2. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families where applicable.
3. Experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable.
4. Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
5. Previous experience supporting children with various needs is an advantage.
6. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children as needed.
7. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and reporting on client progress.
Salary:
£23,423 if you don't have NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (plus sleeps paid at £40)
£24,174 - £25,673 With NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (plus sleeps paid at £40)
Shift Patterns Available:
1. Early 07:30-15:00
2. Late 14:30-22:00 or sleep
3. Full 07:30-22:00 or sleep
4. Nights 21:45-07:45 - (Waking Night Support Workers only)
