About the role This role is about being a customer service super star – you’ll deliver impeccable customer service at every opportunity putting our customers at the heart of everything we do. You’ll support the Operations Manager and Operations Coordinator to keep everything in the shop running smoothly and looking fantastic. You’ll work closely with volunteers and trainees supporting and mentoring them to get the most from their placements. Key Responsibilities Support all aspects of the smooth running of store including stock management, store displays, pricing, processing customer sales, arranging delivery and collections, dealing with customer queries and any other related tasks as requested by Operations Manager Support Ops Coordinator with store presentation ensuring the store is attractive, well laid out and clean at all times Deliver exceptional customer service to every customer and donor by following the organisation’s customer service guidance Support and mentor volunteers working on the store floor offering support with tasks they are assigned to and ensuring it is a welcoming and supportive environment. Where appropriate you may also be asked to assign tasks to volunteers and support them with completion. Support Operations Manager with any health and safety tasks and checks assigned to you Complete cleaning tasks on the store floor, in staff areas and any other areas as identified on the store cleaning plan In the absence of an Ops Coordinator complete financial procedures including cashing up till, banking cash and related tasks following the organisation’s processes Willingness to take on any additional, related tasks as required by Operations Manager in order to support the running of the store. This may include driving or supporting van and warehouse teams if appropriate.
