The successful candidate will contribute to ConcreteZero's mission of accelerating the decarbonisation of the concrete industry and driving forward innovation in reducing the climate impact of concrete. We do this by building and showcasing demand for low carbon concrete and bringing together key players from across the value chain to collaborate and share knowledge in a way that supports collective industry action.

About the role
The Senior Engagement Officer's role is to support the successful delivery of the ConcreteZero team's cross-cutting program of work, specifically by working with other team members on engagement and recruitment efforts; coordinating ConcreteZero member progress reporting; and developing impactful thought leadership content and practical guidance.
Outside the ConcreteZero team, the Senior Engagement Officer will be expected to work in collaboration with cross-functional teams within Climate Group, such as the communications, events, and Client Experience teams to prepare member related content and provide support as necessary.
Working in close collaboration with the wider ConcreteZero and Climate Group colleagues the Senior Officer will:
1. Support the design and implementation of ConcreteZero member engagement strategy, including the effective preparation and delivery of member events.
2. Support member recruitment efforts by providing research, strategy and administrative support.
3. Lead coordination of the process by which ConcreteZero members report their progress against their decarbonisation commitments.
4. Maintain accurate stakeholder contact list and engagement/project dashboard, and accurate calendar of internal and external events and engagements.
5. Capture and report on the ConcreteZero team's impact for ClimateGroup's internal system.
6. Work with ConcreteZero members and other key stakeholders to develop case studies that demonstrate best-practice and can be used to showcase progress.
7. Support with the smooth running of series of technical workstreams designed to facilitate knowledge sharing and value creation among ConcreteZero members.
8. Identify opportunities to illustrate our work through specific member engagement.
9. Attend industry and sector specific conferences and events.
10. Build trusting relationships with member organisations and other relevant stakeholders and partners.
11. Keep up to date with the latest developments in concrete sector within the broader context of geo-political and macro-economic events.
About you
This is an exciting role for a motivated Senior Engagement Officer to work within our industry team based in London and reporting to the Senior Manager of the ConcreteZero team. This role is integral to the team's ability to deliver on an ambitious program of work in 2025 and beyond. It will involve building close working relationships with other Climate Group colleagues, members of the ConcreteZero initiative as well as our extensive and diverse stakeholder network.

Essential
* Alignment with the mission of Climate Group and ConcreteZero.
* Team player with the ability to identify where support is needed; comfortable delivering an administrative workload where necessary alongside more strategic activities.
* A strong desire to develop skills and knowledge and be able to flexibly support a rapidly developing initiative.
* Demonstrable experience of working proactively and independently to deliver tasks and achieve project objectives.
* Experience coordinating, and/or taking responsibility for, the development of outputs such as written deliverables, knowledge webinars, or workshops.
* Confident and practiced at managing and manipulating data in Excel.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of cultural contexts.
* Clear understanding of commercial drivers in the private and public sector, and experience of managing relationships with stakeholders in these fields.
Desirable
* Knowledge and/or experience of the climate challenges associated with concrete and the built environment.
* Experience of impact measurement and reporting.
* Business level proficiency or fluency in major European languages in addition to English.
* Knowledge of greenhouse gas measurement and reporting approaches, and environmental data on materials (e.g. emission factor databases, (W)LCAs and EPDs).
* Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, online meeting technologies, and social media.

This is a permanent position. The salary offered is £33,610 - £36,970 per annum, based on experience.
