Senior Pharmacy Technician
Location: Isle of Sheppey – HMP Elmley and HMP Swaleside
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time (4 day weeks 0730-1730 and every other weekend)
Salary: £39,338-£46,962 per annum, dependent on experience

What will you be doing?
As a Senior Pharmacy Technician you will manage on a daily basis the Medicines Management Service at HMP Swaleside. You will manage the medicines administration, as well as the printing and coordination of the repeat prescription service. As well as this, you will monitor the performance of the medicines optimisation technicians when placed at HMP Swaleside and implement remedial action should an issue arise. You will assist with annual appraisals of the Pharmacy Technicians and Assistant team members, and mentor and train medicines optimisation staff using specialist knowledge and experience, to ensure all staff are working to a high standard.
What do you need?
NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent
Accredited Checking Technician Certificate
Registration with GPhC as a pharmacy technician
5 years’ experience of working in a pharmacy
Excellent organisational skills
Desirable
NVQ A1 assessors award
ACT Facilitator
Minimum of 4 years’ prison or hospital pharmacy experience
2 years mental health experience
Management experience
