Job Title: Senior Graphic Designer (Maternity Cover 12-Month Contract)

Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Graphic Designer to join our team. This is a maternity cover contract position due to start w/c 18th November 2024 to allow for handover. This person would be responsible for digesting briefs and issuing work across a small design team, including fulfilling work yourself. Your leadership will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality, driving the success of our clients' branding and marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution: Ensure all design projects are completed within the established timelines and schedules. Digest and interpret client briefs, understanding requirements to pick up the work, as well as briefing to the team.
2. Workflow Management: Oversee the design process, quality controlling the work from other designers, from concept to final delivery, managing the workflow efficiently for you and the team.
3. Client Communication: Act as the primary contact with clients, ensuring their needs are met and feedback is incorporated.
4. Team Management: Lead the design team and coordinate with freelancers when necessary.
5. High-Quality Deliverables: Focus on creating visually compelling and user-friendly designs across both print and digital media, while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
Must-Have Qualifications:
1. Education/Experience: A recognised qualification in Graphic Design or at least 5 years of industry experience in graphic design.
2. Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design work across different media platforms.
3. Software Proficiency: Excellent working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and XD. Familiarity with Microsoft, Monday.com, and frame.io.
4. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration within the team and with clients.
5. Design Principles: Solid understanding of graphic design principles, including typography, layout design, and colour theory. Knowledge of the differences required between print and digital is important.
6. Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering results on time and within budget.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
1. Additional Software: Familiarity with Figma, HubSpot, WordPress, and social media platforms.
2. Team Support: Experience in managing and supporting other creative team members.
