We are offering 14 29.25 hour contracts hours per week for Female Support Practitioners to join our established Airdrie Service supporting a young female who has made significant steps towards independency of the last three years by moving into her own home. Join us in making a real difference and embark on a fulfilling journey at Sense Scotland. About the service At our Airdrie Service, we create a warm and welcoming living and working environment. Our dedicated team provides one-to-one support for a young deaf and autistic woman who lives in her own home with 24-hour support. We empower her to lead a happy and meaningful life while achieving her personal goals both at home and in the community. The focus of this position is to provide person-centered support that encourages her to engage in daily tasks and routines. You will work alongside her to build skills that promote self-sufficiency while respecting her need for structure and consistency. In this role, you will build a trusting relationship that serves as the foundation for assisting her with: Personal care and support in her home, including housework, medication administration, meal preparation, and companionship. Collaboration with family and other professionals to ensure the highest quality of care. Promoting her independence and individuality according to her Support Plan. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of daily tasks. Effective communication with the staff team and family. This is a female-only service, and it is desirable for the successful candidate to have a full UK driving license, as you will drive the young lady's mobility car to access a variety of activities and local areas as part of her regular support. Family are important to her and she is much happier around upbeat people who make her laugh and smile with their silly humour. This is a Female Support Practitioner role and for this position, female is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010. What s the shift pattern? Our Airdrie Service provides round-the-clock support every day of the year. Staff will work a rolling 4-week master rota, with one full weekend off every four weeks. During this time, you will cover one Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shift over the other three weeks. 24 hour Shift Details: Start Time: 9:45 AM to 10:00 PM Sleepover: Following the evening shift, you will complete a 9-hour sleepover in the service. Early Shift: The following day includes a short shift from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
