Role Overview
In this role, you will join the highly regarded Employment Rights team, specializing in Claimant-focused cases. You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment and industrial relations issues, representing trade unions, professional associations, and their members in tribunals and courts. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients from various sectors, including rail, transport, manufacturing, education, health, and the public sector. With the support of a collaborative team, you'll be delivering expert legal advice on high-profile cases, all while working in a flexible environment that values a positive work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising on a wide range of employment matters, including tribunal claims, industrial relations disputes, and contracts.
* Representing clients in tribunal and court proceedings.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with trade unions, professional associations, and private clients.
* Managing a varied caseload, working on complex and challenging employment law cases.
* Drafting legal documents and preparing cases for hearings and trials.
* Collaborating with colleagues to provide comprehensive legal solutions and contribute to team success.
Person Specification
* Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4-5 years of PQE in employment law.
* Proven track record of handling employment tribunal cases and industrial relations matters.
* Strong academic background, with excellent legal drafting and advocacy skills.
* A self-starter who is confident in managing their own caseload and working independently.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
* A team player who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment.
