A leading national construction consultancy is seeking a dedicated CDM Advisor to join one of their dynamic CDM teams in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable firm known for delivering outstanding construction and property consultancy services across the UK.
The CDM Advisor Role
As a CDM Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and services in Construction Design and Management (CDM) to a variety of high-profile projects. You will take on the role of Principal Designer, ensuring that all CDM regulations are adhered to and that health and safety standards are maintained throughout the design and construction phases.
The successful CDM Advisor will work closely with project teams, conducting risk assessments, preparing pre-construction information, reviewing construction phase plans, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects. Your role will be pivotal in managing health and safety risks and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.
The CDM Advisor
1. Construction background: Proven experience within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of the design and build process.
2. Principal Designer experience: Direct experience providing the role of Principal Designer under CDM regulations.
3. Health and Safety qualifications: NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent is essential; TechIOSH or APS accreditation would be advantageous.
4. Consultancy experience: Previous experience within a construction consultancy environment, particularly in a CDM or health and safety advisory role.
5. Client-facing skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
