As a Senior Supported Housing Officer, you will play a key role in assisting the Housing Manager to lead, organise, and motivate a team of supported housing officers, as well as sometimes needing to deputise for the Housing Manager in their absence.
It’s a demanding, challenging role that requires energy, good humour, leadership skills, as well as attention to detail and an understanding of the challenges faced by our residents.
In addition to your duties supporting the Housing Manager, you will have a small caseload of clients to support. You will be assisting vulnerable people in gaining their independence, helping them to develop the skills and resilience needed to move back into more mainstream accommodation.
As our support never stops, and our clients don’t always keep to office hours, you will be expected to take part in a Manager on Call rota, providing advice and support to our 24-hour staff. You need not carry out this role more than approximately 3-4 times a year, and an additional allowance will be paid.
Interviews will take place on the 12th of March. If you cannot make this date, please get in touch, and we will try to find an alternate date. Thank you.
Please return the filled-in application form by email to info@tynegroup.org.uk or by post to Tyne Housing Association Ltd, St Silas Church Building, Clifford Street, Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 1PG.
Note: We do not accept CVs. Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced disclosure and barring check.
