We offer 1:1 Peri Teaching lessons in schools and we are seeking a creative and passionate strings and piano teacher with a pop/rock/classical focus who can work well with children.
Lessons are held on Wednesdays from 10:15 AM to 2:35 PM with a 30-minute lunch. 3 hours would be piano tuition, and 1 hour would be strings.
Students range from Beginner to Grade 3 level in piano, cello, and violin.
At Anthem Tuition, we believe that music lessons should be fun and engaging for our primary and high school aged learners. That's why we are looking for someone who can plan exciting lessons for children and incorporate games into their teaching. As part of our mission, we want to make our students feel like rockstars and inspire them to become lifelong musicians.
The main tasks of this role include:
1. Teaching primarily 1:1 lessons
2. Preparing for lessons
3. Printing music for students to use in class
4. Writing brief weekly lesson notes
5. Setting practice homework
6. Encouraging students to get involved in our performance opportunities
7. Fetching students from their classrooms if they forget to turn up to their lesson
The ideal candidate should possess a fun and professional approach, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational and time management skills. We also value initiative, tenacity, and a positive approach to change. A passion for educating children is a must!
Qualifications for this role include:
1. A degree level in Music/Music Performance/Music Technology (desirable)
2. Grade 8 level on your instrument (desirable)
3. Previous teaching experience (particularly for GCSE/BTEC music students) is also desirable, but additional training can be provided.
As a teacher at Anthem Tuition, you must be customer service focused, possess excellent communication skills, and work well in a team. You should be confident in teaching children in a way that is easy for people of all ages to understand.
