If so, please keep reading as you’re just what we’re looking for About the role…. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Domestic Abuse Housing Outreach Worker. Based within the Neighbourhood Relations Team, reporting to the Partnership and Inclusion Coordinator you will be responsible for providing housing related outreach advice and support to victims of domestic abuse with the aim of overcoming barriers to housing and preventing homelessness. You should have experience of working with people experiencing domestic abuse, as well as a good understanding of safeguarding practice and the challenges victims face, particularly in relation to housing. You will contribute to multi agency arrangements for victims of domestic abuse, sharing relevant information and safety planning, including providing additional security in homes. You must have excellent communication skills, good timekeeping and organisation skills and be able to prioritise your workload effectively. You will be required to have 5 GCSEs or the equivalent at Grade C or above, including Maths and English and/or relevant experience. You should be able to demonstrate knowledge of IT packages, and a good understanding of issues relating to social housing. A full driving license and access to a car is desirable.
