About the role We are looking to expand our team with skilled and enthusiastic individuals to deliver a tunnelling project in the beautiful region of Snowdonia, North Wales. Our work will significantly enhance the visual impact of the area, burying a network of overhead cables and removing a number of pylons to restore and protect the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape. The project requires an additional Section Engineer to assist with the management and coordination of all works within area of responsibility, including management of junior Engineering staff. Within the role, you will be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with other project sections as required. You will produce and issue any required technical queries to resolve erroneous or incomplete design information and confidently distribute responses to all required persons. The role will require you to produce and maintain a detailed and resourced 3 week (minimum) look ahead programme of all planned works within area of responsibility, including subcontractors and Third Parties, which supports the contract programme and manage works to achieve the agreed programme. About you It is essential that you have at least 2 years of experience in TBM tunnelling and ideally at least 1 year experience as a TBM Shift Engineer. Basic knowledge of commercial and contractual requirements would be beneficial. You will have strong organisational and reporting skills to appropriately and accurately records works progress, changes, resources and issues, including works by subcontractors. You must thrive in a team environment, working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure a seamless and cohesive approach.
