Multi-disciplinary Architectural Practice seeks an experienced Associate level Architect to be the project lead on a £15million Education Project with additional bids expected to land in early 2025 as part of our clients new local authority framework award!\n\nWith around 40 talented professionals across 4 offices in the UK, the opportunity exists to assist in the continuing success and growth of this thriving Practice with a portfolio of exciting projects across multiple sectors. Whilst our client remain committed to retain a regional studio presence the Leeds office are currently working remotely while they secure a new studio space in the new year and return to a flexible hybrid working model, suitable candidates must have the correct facilities to work from home efficiently.\n\nIt is anticipated the Associate Architect will be the lead Project Architect on the new school project mentioned above, initially supporting studio lead as a cross over. They will work along side the studio lead on future bids, with the long term desire for the right candidate to lead projects from first contact through to completion.\n\nAssociate Architect job requirement \n\nArchitects must be RIBA/ARB registered with circa 10 years professional experience\nThis can be someone who is wanting to move into an associate role currently working as a senior architect with strong experience behind them\nSomeone who has extensive links within the industry and no stepping back from a senior leadership roles while retaining a senior position.\nSomeone who has extensive links and experience, who is looking for new challenges\nKeen to secure an individual who is capable of working along side the studio lead to support and assist in business development and project delivery\nStudio lead main roles; business development and strategy, staff management (project resourcing, invoicing).
They will also pick up some key projects as design lead, and support studio project coordination.\nAssociate architect main roles: Project architect/lead, wider studio project coordination. They will be actively involved in business development supporting the studio lead.\nThe investment for the employer is to help support and allow the growth of an individual into a key leadership roleExperience in all sections\n\nEducation experience essential, having worked on either a new primary or secondary school in the last 5 years.\nProven design skills through winning bids and or picking up schemes from conception, feasibility\nProven delivery and project management skills through running and delivering projects to completion\nKnowledge on different procurement methods and contract types\nPreferred to have some traditional experience, NEC contracts experience would be beneficial\nDesign abilities through well thought out diagrams, images, and presentations. Understanding technical detailing and ability to resolve intricacies through hand sketches.\nAs an experienced architect you are expected to have excellent presentation skills and technical awareness.The successful Associate Architect will receive a highly competitive salary in the region of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum and will also be entitled to the following benefits:\n\n27 days holiday + Christmas period shutdown\nER Pension\nPrivate Healthcare\nFlexible working / 2 days in the office and 3 days remote, initially the role would be fully remote with occasional team meetings in Leeds city centre
