About the Role:
We are looking for someone to join our student records and exams team who has an interest in data and high attention to detail skills, to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all data relating to our student records. This will cover data across all our funding streams from 16-18 study programmes, through to adult skills fund delivery and covers the whole life-cycle of the learner from application through to achievement. This post will also have responsibility for some system development duties and therefore a good understanding of systems, how data is stored and maintained and improvement principles to support our business operations would be advantageous.
About the Organisation:
The College operates across three main campuses in Stevenage and Hitchin, employing over 650 staff. With a turnover of £30m, the college provides learning opportunities to over 10,000 students each year from study programmes for 16-18 year olds and apprenticeships through to adult provision locally, regionally and nationally. We were judged Good by Ofsted at our last inspection in December 2023, with outstanding features. This role will be based at our Stevenage Campus although travel to other sites may be required. We operate hybrid working with three days in the office and up to 2 days working from home each week.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collect, check, input and submit data using in house databases and external systems, ensuring accuracy of data.
* Respond to enquiries from current and former students and support curriculum teams with queries from prospective applicants.
* Act as a key point of contact to customers for the data and reporting functions, including queries relating to timetables, registers and fees.
* Undertake data related staff inductions and training as and when required, including helping to maintain help guides relating to key data topics.
* Support the streamlining of data, administrative and reporting processes using resources available in systems and work with colleagues on system developments as required.
* Monitor data quality using exception reporting on various systems; liaise with relevant parties to resolve any issues identified to ensure data is clean.
* Deal with reporting queries and investigate potential issues.
* Work closely with Head of Business Intelligence (Reporting) to bring together data from multiple sources and standardise the format and measurement of common metrics.
* Support testing of reports and documenting technical specifications for reports built.
