Here at the Mick George Group, we are currently recruiting an Asbestos Contracts Manager to join the environmental team.
Location: Mick George Head Office – Huntingdon
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm

Job Overview: To support the business in achieving its aims and objectives through the delivery of asbestos management and removal projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Organise asbestos removal works to ensure compliance with relevant Legislation/Regulations, MGE Policies and Procedures, and Health and Safety standards.
2. Undertake site visits to address enquiries received by MGE, compiling all relevant paperwork.
3. Produce accurate quotations for review and issue to clients as per process and policy requirements.
4. Compile accurate costings and programme for all site works.
5. Produce suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments/Method Statements in compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations and HSE Guidance.
6. Ensure notification of projects is undertaken as required, providing relevant information to the Office Manager.
7. Plan all labour, plant, and materials to ensure safe working practices and liaise with the Office Manager for allocation and ordering.
8. Manage all site works in liaison with the Site Supervisor and the Client to ensure works proceed to programme and budget.
9. Complete Site Audits and Site Visit Forms to assist in achieving MGE targets.
10. Attend Weekly Operations, Monthly Managers, and 6-weekly supervisor meetings.
11. Participate in wider objectives of the Company.
Qualifications/Experience:
1. Demonstrable successful experience in a similar role.
2. Committed to providing first-rate customer service.
3. Knowledge of relevant legislation including Health and Safety.
4. IT Literate – Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, and remote meeting tools (e.g., Teams).
5. Effective communicator, influencer & relationship builder.
6. Strong written communication skills to complete site paperwork to a high standard.
7. Honest & reliable.
8. Ability to prioritise work and manage own diary amidst challenging demands.
9. Ability to balance operational needs with best practice.
10. Full Driving Licence with towing ability.
11. Willingness to work additional hours as required by the business needs.
12. Ability to cover for work colleagues during absences.
