Job Description
Glasgow Life is looking for 12 Adult Learning Tutors to join us on both permanent & fixed term, part-time, 15-hour contracts. Our fixed-term contracts are for a period of up to 1 year. You will be joining our Adult Learning Service as part of a new team dedicated to supporting ESOL and Literacy and Numeracy Learning in response to the ESOL and Literacy challenge in the city.

The Role
As an Adult Learning Tutor, you’ll be an integral part of a dedicated team addressing the ESOL and Literacy Challenges in the city. You will work in partnership with a range of partners and learning referral agendas across the city. You will report to a Libraries and Communities Service Officer and work alongside your Adult Learning colleagues as part of a coordinated team response delivering high-quality learning programmes.
The Candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as an Adult Learning Tutor, you’ll need:
* A recognised ESOL or Literacy Qualification or equivalent
* Experience of planning, designing, delivering, and evaluating ESOL learning programmes within a variety of community settings
* Experience of learning assessments
* Experience of managing and delivering learning at different levels
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience of working with a range of service users including adults, families, and groups
* Strong organisational skills
* Ability to motivate people within a community learning context

Our city-wide contracts mean you will be flexible to work in any of our locations. This role is working across Monday to Friday, normally between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm.
