As a Governance & Regulation Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a customer-centric governance framework and ensuring regulatory compliance at LHP. It involves aligning governance practices with customer needs, promoting transparency, and raising awareness with colleagues on governance expectations to foster a culture of ethical behaviour and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for delivering governance support to the Board & Committees as well as supporting non-executive director recruitment, onboarding and ensuring ongoing development. The role is defined as being flexible under our agile working policy, therefore you will be able to work from wherever is suitable to complete the task at hand. This might be at home, or in one of our offices located in Boston or Grimsby, or somewhere else This role will require in-person visibility in our Lincolnshire offices approximately once a month. First and foremost, you must be customer focussed and have a desire to exceed expectations of internal and external customers Possess excellent organizational and project management skills, demonstrating the capability to effectively plan, organise, and prioritise tasks. Adept at coordinating with colleagues while maintaining keen attention to detail and managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience of governance and regulatory environment Good verbal and written communication skills and in particular the skills to take high quality minutes and write Board level reports. Ability to influence, build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Board, leadership, colleagues and customers. Ability to innovate, engage, inspire and improve to drive continuous improvements. Ability to conduct work of a confidential nature. Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, including staying informed about emerging trends, best practices, and evolving requirements. Good understanding of Microsoft Office 365. What will I be asked to do as a Governance & Regulation Business Partner? Board and Committee Support -Take ownership of the Board and Committee meeting process to ensure an effective and proactive support service to these meetings ensuring that they are well planned with accurate minute and action taking. Advice and guidance -maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, good practice and legislation and provide advice, support and guidance as required. on governance and regulatory matters for Board and Committees as required. Awareness raising -Support development and delivery of communication plans to ensure external factors and changes affecting LHP and their implications are shared effectively to enable Board, leadership, management, and colleagues, to effectively understand governance and compliance expectations relevant to their role. Compliance Assessments -Support colleagues in understanding, engaging with, adhering to, monitoring and evidencing compliance against legal, statutory and regulatory requirements as well as best practice guidance. Policies Develop and review policies and procedures with responsible managers to ensure compliance with regulation and support managers to ensure regulatory and legal requirements are considered and these assessments are integrated with other integrated with other risk and assurance processes, including equality and privacy impact assessments. Customer Influence -Support arrangements (working with other colleagues) to enable customers to effectively engage in LHPs governance and the reviews of compliance and development of actions to ensure compliance. This includes ensuring involved customers have access to relevant information to enable them to meaningfully influence. Probity & Raising Concerns -Ensure probity frameworks such as declarations of interest and raising concerns are appropriately managed and recorded, giving guidance to colleagues. Non-executive director (NED) Recruitment -Support the Board and Committee member recruitment process and facilitation of onboarding sessions ensuring a customer first approach. Board Performance -Assist in the Board and Committee member Appraisal process and annual Board Effectiveness review. This includes developing templates, supporting members to complete, reviewing analysis and drafting reports with recommendations. Non-executive director (NED) Induction & Development -Maintain and monitor the Board and Committee member Induction and Development plan and arrange well planned and successful Board and Committee strategy and development sessions as well as identifying individual development requirements. Produce the regular Board e-newsletter sharing development opportunities, internal news and sector updates.
