About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chef De Partie to join our team at Babington House. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare food to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
* Set up and stock kitchen stations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace
* Plate dishes to company standards, showcasing your creativity and attention to detail
* Work collaboratively with the team to achieve exceptional service standards
* Be flexible and available to work varying shift times, including evenings, weekends, and opens/closes
Requirements
* 1-2 years' experience in a busy high-profile kitchen in a similar senior role
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues
* Punctuality, reliability, and trustworthiness are essential
* A sense of urgency and a 'yes, yes, yes' mentality are required
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
* Genuine passion for food and beverage
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements
* Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects by hand
* Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
* Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required
Working Hours
* Varying shift times across the seven days, including evenings, weekends, opens, and closes
* Average hours 32-45 hours per week
Travel
Approximately 30 minutes from Bath, 50 minutes from Bristol, and 10 minutes from Frome
