Deputy Site Engineering Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Site Engineering Manager to join our team at ARMS Innovations Ltd in Milton Keynes.
Main Responsibilities
* Oversight of all engineering and maintenance functions to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.
* Acting as Engineering Manager when required.
* Health & Safety Management: Uphold and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a culture of safety within the engineering team.
* Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures that drive engineering excellence and operational reliability.
* Budget & Compliance Management: Manage engineering budgets and OEM contracts, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
* Contractor Oversight: Supervise contractors to ensure that they adhere to company and site standards working safely to deliver project requirements.
* Inventory Control: Implement effective inventory management procedures to maintain stock levels, minimise downtime and drive cost savings.
* Team Leadership: Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure the technical accuracy and quality of engineering work, maintaining high standards.
Requirements
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience leading large engineering teams in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.
* In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, as well as CMMS and project management processes.
* Proven experience in managing health, safety, and environmental protocols.
