Northwood and Ruislip Synagogue is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Welfare Officer to join our community. This part-time role (10 hours per week, with some flexibility) is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. First Point of Contact: Handle telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries related to Northwood and Ruislip Care.
2. Assess and Prioritise Needs: Proactively identify and address the care and welfare needs within our community.
3. Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, support, and supervise teams of volunteers to respond to community requirements.
4. Programme Development: Create and implement care programmes and projects tailored to the needs of our members.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Proven experience working with vulnerable people of all ages and abilities.
2. Strong time management and customer care skills.
3. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
4. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
5. Ability to always maintain confidentiality.
