Job Overview
The Head of Strategic Planning and Commissioning will lead regional planning, clinical pathway development, and service commissioning, ensuring services are planned across the organization in a life course approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Dying Well Strategy Group and regional planning initiatives.
* Develop and implement service strategies and pathways aligned with organizational goals.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to shape service policies.
* Manage relationships with Directorate Managers, Clinical Directors, and external partners.
* Support the development of corporate strategies and service-specific plans.
Minimum Requirements
* Educated to Masters Level or equivalent.
* Experience in senior management or strategic development within health or social care.
* Knowledge of NHS planning processes, funding mechanisms, and performance management.
* Strong project management and strategic decision-making skills.
Additional Details
This is a fixed-term/secondment role for 12 months, part-time (15 hours/week), based in Abercynon, Merthyr Tydfil. Salary ranges from £63,150 to £73,379 per annum pro rata. Applicants should note the importance of building relationships, influencing change, and engaging with stakeholders.
