At Barnardo's NI, our purpose is clear - changing childhoods and changing lives, so that children, young people, and families are safe, happy, healthy, and hopeful.
Last year, we provided essential support to 18,000 children, young people, parents and carers through more than 40 services and partnerships across the country.
For more than 100 years, we've been here for the children and young people who need us most – bringing love, care and hope into their lives and giving them a place where they feel they belong.
The National Advisory Board (NAB) maximises Barnardo's Northern Ireland's ability to change children's lives by providing strategic support and advice to the national executive and bringing their individual and collective skills, experience and networks to bear where opportunities present.
Implementation of Barnardo's corporate strategy;
Key opportunities, risks or challenges requiring top level support;
Experience in areas of service delivery aligned to our work with children & young people (e.g. Policy formation, development and communication
The NAB meets formally four times a year, usually in person at our Regional Office in Belfast.
