Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Communications Officer to join Cheshire East Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, create, and implement cost-effective communication campaigns.
2. Develop engaging content across digital and traditional channels.
3. Commission communications materials from internal and external providers.
4. Set, monitor, and evaluate SMART objectives for communication activities.
5. Build relationships with key stakeholders to support communication goals.
6. Provide expert advice on communication strategies across the Council.
What We're Looking For:
1. Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
2. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
3. Knowledge of reputation management in local government is desirable.
