Machine operator / Setter
We are recruiting an experienced Machine operator / Setter to join a highly rated manufacturing company based on Melton Industrial Estate (HU14). This is a fantastic permanent opportunity with a starting pay rate of £28,000 PA with any overtime paid at premium rates.
Shift pattern / Working hours
Monday to Friday Rotating shifts
Week 1 = Mon-Friday 6am - 2pm
Week 2 = Mon-Friday 2pm - 10pm
Week 3 = Mon - Friday 10pm - 6am
This is 3 shift rotating so you must be able to complete all shifts

The Machine operator / Setter role is a Permanent contract that will commence with immediate effect however, if you do have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around that.
Job description
As a Machine operator / Setter you will be responsible for the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient operation of injection molding and injection blow molding machines. Your expertise will contribute to the production of top-notch plastic components and products.
· Configure and set up injection molding and injection blow molding machines.
· Monitor and operate machinery to produce high-quality plastic parts.
· Conduct thorough quality checks on molded products to meet industry standards.
· Identify and troubleshoot issues during the molding process to maintain product integrity.
· Perform routine maintenance on molds and tooling to ensure optimal machine performance.
· Collaborate with the maintenance team for repairs and improvements.
· Continuously evaluate and refine molding processes for efficiency and quality improvement.
· Implement adjustments to achieve production goals and minimize waste.
· Maintain accurate records of production runs, adjustments, and quality control measures.
· Generate reports on machine performance and production metrics
The successful candidate:
To be considered for the position of Machine operator / Setter you MUST;
· Have your own car/motorbike due to location
· Proven experience in injection molding and injection blow molding operations
· Technical proficiency in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting
· Strong understanding of quality control processes and attention to detail
· Ability to perform routine maintenance on molds and machinery
· Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
