Director of Learning – Physical Education
Waverley Education Foundation (WEF) is a Multi Academy Trust that operates Waverley School and Waverley Studio College, with over 1900 students enrolled. WEF develops, brokers, and delivers a range of services that support learning, leadership, and management, improving outcomes for children and young people.
Waverley School is an all-through school for students aged 4-19, with a Resource Base for students with cognition and learning difficulties. In its recent Ofsted inspection in September 2021, Waverley School was graded as a ‘Good’ school. The secondary phase has 1174 students, including those in the Sixth Form, and boasts state-of-the-art facilities for learning, teaching, and training.

We are now looking to appoint a new Director of Learning for PE. Our PE department consists of experienced and recently qualified teachers, and we seek a leader to steer the direction of our sports provision across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
This role will appeal to ambitious, talented teachers and leaders who can bring inspirational leadership to our Middle Leadership Team and contribute to the school improvement process.
You will need to:
* Promote and deliver excellent standards of teaching and learning.
* Be a strategic thinker and lead the department from good to great.
* Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the local community.

The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
